It's all about relationship; especially when it comes to discipleship.
The good news is you don't have to go at it alone. We have created quarterly environments where you can connect with others who desire to go deeper in their relationship with God. Come join one of our many Discipleship Group offerings.
What are Discipleship Groups?
Discipleship groups (or D-Groups) are for anyone who wants to study and
grow in their relationship with God. No matter if you are trying to decide if God is real, if you are a new believer, or if you are a seasoned Christian we all need a place to wrestle with the Infinite Word.
D-Groups are designed for all ages and stages of life. We hope to assimilate
each individual into a D-Group that is suitable for them. These groups may consist of all men, all women, college age, singles, newly married, parents of
young children, parents of teenagers and the mature believer. We want to help you find a place.
How do you get involved in a D-Group?
It's easy! We offer quarterly Group Link environments in our fellowship
hall. Grouplink nights will let you meet with others who are looking for
studies which are relevant to their lives. You will have the opportunity to fellowship in an informal setting to link up with others going through similar
phases of life. Grouplink is the optimal time to join since you can get in on the beginning of a study. However, you can join a group at any time!
How often will the D-Groups meet and
what will we do together?
That depends on each group. It is our hope that the bible study programs
for each D-Group will last twelve (12) weeks. Most studies offered last 6 to
12 weeks. The study schedule will be open for discussion in each individual
group. Each group will want to identify a leader to help organize the time and
place of the meetings. The leader will also help direct in discussion. D-groups
will meet weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the length of each study. D-groups
can expand their group's value by serving within the church or community. Such examples could be volunteering to be the greeters, ushers or children’s
church leaders. There is also work outside the church, such as work at the Shepherd’s
Table. Each group can look at those things together, but the primary purpose
is the bible study.
