The following are some questions we often get asked:
When is your worship service?a. Our worship service begins promptly at 11:00am on Sunday mornings.
What can I expect to happen in the service?
a. Our service is considered to be a traditional service that incorporates elements such as: prayers, Psalter readings, liturgical readings, congregational singing, professionally lead choral singing, preaching, etc. However, one should not be surprised to hear various styles of music since our congregation is blessed to have many talented musicians and vocalists.
What should I wear?
a. The answer is up to you. You can come in whatever attire enables you to freely worship the Lord. You may find a wide range of attire across the congregation. Some wear suits and some where jeans. Simply put, you just come as you are.
How often do you celebrate communion?
a. We take communion on the first Sunday of the month.
What is the general atmosphere of the church?
a. That is a really good question. We are a diverse group of people who enjoy genuine fellowship and southern hospitality. The feeling is very laid back--much like "home".
Will I have to speak in front of people?
a. Certainly not. You will not have to stand up and awkwardly state your name. We want you to enjoy your visit not be made a spectacle of. Our congregation does stand and participates in singing and reading, but you will not have to do any individualized speaking unless you feel lead to.
